My dryer isn’t drying clothes

Hi, I’m having an issue with my dryer. It doesn’t seem to be drying my clothes properly, and I’m not sure what’s causing it. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there, sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your dryer. To better help you, could you answer a few questions for me? Is the dryer spinning when you turn it on? Are you overloading the dryer? Have you cleaned the lint trap recently?

Author

Yes, the dryer is spinning, and I’m not overloading it. I cleaned the lint trap, but it didn’t seem to help. Any other ideas?

Thanks for the additional info. Have you checked if the condenser is filling up? And is the dryer warm to the touch when it’s on?

Author

I’m not sure how to check the condenser, but I don’t think it’s filling up. The dryer is warm, but not hot.

Based on what you’ve said, it sounds like there might be a blockage somewhere in the dryer, possibly in the hoses or vent. Can you check for any blockages there?

Author

I checked the hoses and vent, but I didn’t see any blockages. Could it be the thermostat?

DryerDiva24

That’s definitely a possibility. A faulty thermostat could cause the dryer to not heat up properly. If you have a multimeter, you can check if the thermostat is working properly.

I don’t have a multimeter, but I think I found the issue. It looks like the element is faulty.

That’s great that you were able to find the issue. To fix a faulty element, you will need to replace it. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Thank you for all your help. I was able to replace the faulty element, and my dryer is working like new again!
